You are more likely to catch fish the further you stand from shore. But, you also have a higher chance of getting wet.

Do I require special fishing licenses?

If you intend to take fish outside of your state or cross county lines, no. Many states allow anglers to fish without any type of license. Check with your local Fish & Wildlife agency to see what is required.

How do I clean fish?

There are many methods to clean fish. One way is to remove the head and guts. After that, rinse the fish with cold running water. The fish can also be gutted by you. This involves removing the intestines from the fish and cleaning out the cavity. Finally, you might ask someone else for assistance in cleaning the fish.

How often do I need to change my lures

You should change your lures every few days. Lures tend to lose effectiveness after being left out in the sun too long.

Where can I buy my fishing supplies?

All of these items are available in most sporting goods stores. If you're looking for something more specific, you might want to look online. You can find everything on many websites, from lures and tackle boxes to rods and reels.

  • To substantiate this theory, Knight attempted a systematic inquiry by considering the timing of 200 'record' catches, more than 90 percent were made during a new moon (when no moon is visible). (myfwc.com)
  • You likely have a fish hooked if the bobber moves erratically for over 5 seconds. (tailoredtackle.com)
